Save energy, but deliver optimal extraction. Our system will not diminish the extraction performance

DESA will eliminate air flow wasted on those machines that are not active. It will close the dampers on the inactive machines and modulate extraction and perform extraction exclusively where there is a demand of such. All saving calculations will be made with average costs of 0.15 per kWh and machine operating at 75% of simultaneous use, 2000 hours per year.

Heating power savings

DESA optimises the extraction and avoids for hot air to leave the building if not needed. This air was heated with the use of boilers and burners and this represents a cost, which is totally wasted if this air is extracted with no demand for it. Savings are calculated with a value of 0.40 per meter cube of gas.
null

Refrigerating costs saving

DESA avoids extracting air that was previously refrigerated, for manufacturing process reasons, like mechanical precision, or chemical reaction environment. For this savings we assume a 0,2 KWh cost of refrigeration power.
null

Noise reduction

DESA will reduce the air flow in the main ductwork, delivering only the demanded airflow form the operating machines. This will reduce tremendously the noise of the air turbulence in the ductwork. The noise dB is related to air flow in a logarithmic scale. Workplace will end up being less effected by the presence of unpleasant noises from the dust extraction systems.
null

Saving for filter media changes

DESA reduces updraft in the filters, so less dust will engage in the filter media, and DESA also reduces the air to media ratio, so that filters become more efficient and the pressure for the dust to be pushed inside the filters i much lower. Filters life is extended amazingly.
null

Energy saving through reduced amount of filter cleaning cycles.

DESA reduces updraft and air to media ratio, so filters will collect less dust. For off-line cleaning system, filters will perform longer before needing a system shot down for a cleaning process, resulting in higher productivity. For On-line cleaning filter, less compressed air will be needed resulting in big savings.
null

DESA optimised the filtering process (especially for filter pockets for oil mist)

Oil mist pocket tend to degenerate during the day, consequently at the absorption of oil drops from the extracted air. DESA will manage the extraction monitoring the resistance of the filter and optimising the extraction through the day. No more excess extraction at shift begin, and poor extraction at shift end. With DESA you will have a balanced extraction all day long.
null

Maintenance savings

DESA keeps ductwork clean and will avoid deposits of dust in it. No more need to inspect and clean the ductwork from dust.
null

Saving in new extraction system investments

DESA optimises the air flow and allows to design new system on the base of “peak extraction” and “normal extraction” volumes. So systems end up having smaller filters and cost less than new system without a DESA.

Access to government grant

DESA can be locally supported by government founding for energy savings and technology innovation. All countries are providing big founding to help companies investing in technologies like DESA.
